We are all lifelong learners even if we do not continue in formal education because as we venture out into the world, interact with our iPhone, search for videos on our tablet, or turn on the TV we are experiencing something new. This new knowledge is blended with previous beliefs, changing, validating, or expanding the concepts. These daily experiences ultimately lead to changes in our view of the world and of ourselves.
I have enjoyed a variety of teaching experiences over the past 25 years. I started with guiding the learning of young children and now currently guide adults attending CMU who are coming through our Early Childhood Education program wanting to be teachers. I believe that both children and adults need to be provided with relevant experiences and classroom knowledge so they can use it in real world experiences throughout their lives.
